Ivo10 Brazil U11 and U12 teams draw attention in competition held in China

The U11 and U12 teams from the Macau unit of the Ivo10 Brazil Football Academy did well in the project's first international competition. For seven weeks, around two months, those led by executive director William Gomes and coaches Adzayi Felix, Felipe Oliveira and Baiano attracted attention in the 2023 Zhuhai Youth Football Weekend League, which took place in Zhuhai, in southern China.

The finals of the competition held in China took place on the weekend of December 9th and 10th. Ivo10 Brazil's U11 won 4th place with 12 points. Morgan was top scorer with 11 goals. Little Katie was the highlight of Zhuhai Youth wearing the Ivo10 Brazil shirt.

The U12 team finished in 4th place in the 2023 Zhuhai Youth Football Weekend League. In seven games there were three wins, two draws and two defeats.

According to the organization of the competition, the 2023 Zhuhai Youth Football Weekend League attracted the attention of residents of Zhuhai and nearby regions, in addition to the participation, for the first time, of a team from Macau, the Ivo10 Brazil Football Academy. In total, in the categories from U7 to U12, there were 52 teams and more than 800 athletes participating.

The matches took place at the Fayouhui Football Club, in Zhuhai. The team has a tradition of organizing competitions during the school holidays and, for the first time, led the official tournament, which lasted seven weeks.

The organizers of the 2023 Zhuhai Youth Football Weekend League made a point of thanking the participating teams from Zhongshan Province and Macau.

In addition to local teams from Zhuhai and guests from Zhongshan and Macau, Kaixiang Football, Sanxiang Zaide, Zhongshan Hengchao Zhongneng, Zhongshan Dayi, among others, participated in the event.

The thanks also turned into praise when the organizers of Zhuhai Youth praised Ivo10 Brazil's dedication. According to them “the Macau Ivo10 team is the most special team. During the seven weeks of competition, the Ivo10 Brazil U11 and U12 teams crossed the border from Macau to Zhuhai every week and overcame the 50-kilometer round trip from Gongbei Port to the competition area. It is a great honor to attract a team from Macau to participate in this event. They demonstrated a very friendly and competitive spirit in the competition”, they published.
