The Macau unit of the Ivo10 Brazil Football Academy received an illustrious visit on Tuesday (2). Champion of the FIFA World Cup in 2014, in Brazil, and top scorer in the history of the World Cups with 16 goals scored in four editions, Polish-born German Miroslav Josef Klose attended a training session and spoke with athletes and members of the project's board and technical committee.

Received by the executive director of Ivo10 Brazil in Macau, William Gomes, Klose sought to find out more about the project, work methodology and day-to-day training and games. He visited Tuesday's training at the invitation of Miguel Chan U, from the Macau Chiba team, Ivo10's partner in official competitions organized by the Macau Football Association.

Klose felt very comfortable with the Ivo10 Brazil athletes and coaching staff. Accompanied by his children and support team, he even played football during training. The intimacy was so great that he even joked with Brazilian professionals in Macau: “Do you remember that same play in 2014?” he said, laughing, referring to Germany's disastrous 7-1 victory over Brazil in the World Cup semi-finals in FIFA Brazil 2014.

The German top scorer is the winner of the 2014 World Cup, held in Brazil, but has already won silver for the Brazilians. In 2002 he was part of the Germany team that lost the grand final to the Brazilian team, which won the fifth world championship in the FIFA World Cup South Korea / Japan. In addition to the gold and the silver, Klose has two bronzes (2006 and 2010 ).

At club level, Miroslav Klose shone at Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich, in Germany, and at Lazio, in Italy. Currently, retired from football boots, he works as a coach. A fact that motivated him to learn about the day-to-day life of the Macau unit of the Ivo10 Brazil Football Academy.
